About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for the selling and merchandising of mountain sports apparel and accessories. This role requires a basic understanding of the retail industry and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and available to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.
  • English reading writing and communication.
  • Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale.
  • Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Will lift 25lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • 6 months cash handling position preferably in retail.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and outgoing demeanor with customers and team members.
  • Proactively support operational and company needs with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and share product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and consistently; balance cash tills at the end of each shift.
  • Keep merchandise and work areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Gain familiarity with Schweitzer Mountain facilities to better assist guests.
