About The Position
A Front End Sales Associate/Cashier handles payments and ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements. The role reports to the Market Manager and Assistant Marketing Managers. It also supports guests and the team by handling product returns, maintaining displays, restocking, and completing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of cash register functions.
- Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours.
- Ability to bend and stoop occasionally.
- Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collect cash, checks, or charge payments from guests and provide change and charge vouchers when appropriate.
- Verify the accuracy of the cash bank by counting cash, checks, and charge payments at the end of the shift.
- Obtain and review information regarding price changes.
- Verify employee discounts, returns, exchanges, and voids with the assistance of a manager or shift lead.
- Return carts and baskets to their central distribution areas.
- Take back go-backs and damaged items, fix displays, help restock, and support team members.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
