About The Position

Assists Shop Manager with shop operations and meets the needs of members and guests.

Computer experience necessary
H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
Regularly required to stand and walk
Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
Talk or hear
Occasionally required to sit
Occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Keep shop clean including dressing rooms.
Greets customer on sales floor and determines make, type and quality of merchandise desired.
Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customers needs and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility.
Demonstrates use of merchandise.
Helps with tournament information with members and assist in coordination of special events.
Estimates quantity of merchandise required to fill customers need.
Wraps and bags merchandise for customer.
Takes inventory of stock on a monthly or as needed basis.
Requisitions merchandise from stockroom.
Examines defective article returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made.
Opens and closes computers on a daily basis.
Prepares daily sales recap for Accounting Dept.
Answers telephone in a polite, professional and timely manner.
Uses computer database to research availability of merchandise.
Processes Special Orders.
Books lessons and court reservations as needed.
