About The Position

This is a part-time Retail Associate position located at the Ridge Plaza Store in Davie, FL. The role involves a variety of tasks including customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities within a retail store environment. The position requires a high school education or equivalent and offers a salary range of $14.00 per hour, with up to 50% travel required.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of electronic devices.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device (such as a phone or tablet), and thank donors for their donated items.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
• Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
• Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters.
• Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
• Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
