About The Position
TJ Maxx is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate will adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained to support various areas of the store. The position involves ringing customer purchases, promoting loyalty programs, processing and preparing merchandise, and participating in store recovery and maintenance. TJX is a Fortune 100 company and a leading off-price retailer.
Requirements
- Possesses excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking.
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Retail customer experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
- Embodying customer experience principles and philosophy.
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
- May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store.
- Accurately ringing customer purchases/returns and counting change.
- Promoting credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and following established procedures.
- Accurately processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
- Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed.
- Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participating in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.
- Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
