About The Position

This is a part-time role requiring 20 to 30 hours per week, with up to 30 hours during summer months. The position involves performing general cleaning of the building and grounds to maintain store presentation for customers and staff. The role requires the ability to work every Saturday from 8 AM to Noon during the summer.

Requirements

  • Professional and courteous attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly.
  • Able to stand, lift, sit, walk and bend.

Responsibilities

  • Daily cleaning and organization of storage, parking, and outside areas.
  • Clean dispensers (pumps) with cleaner provided, at least once weekly.
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, dust as needed.
  • Assist customers (phone, counter, and pumps) with sales during busy times.
  • Accurately invoice customers on the computer during busy times.
  • Stock shelves.
  • Water nursery stock.
  • Comply with company safety guidelines to perform daily tasks.
  • Refill all paper products as needed (e.g., paper towels, receipt paper).
  • Refill all washer fluid.
  • Learn how to use the computer system for job-specific skills.
  • Handle products with care and minimize loss.
  • Communicate with the retail manager regarding any supply needs, inventory, and pricing.
  • Clean up any trash or debris in the lot, including weeds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
