About The Position

Goodwill Columbus is seeking a Retail Associate to help process and sell donated goods in a fast-paced retail store. This role involves sorting, pricing, and stocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and providing excellent customer service. The mission of Goodwill is to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities and other barriers through pathways to independence and the power of work.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Basic math skills and comfort using a register
  • Organized and able to multitask in a busy environment
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly
  • Perform repetitive tasks and use hands/fingers for register and sorting

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet donors and customers; provide friendly, helpful service
  • Receive and unload donations; provide receipt
  • Sort and inspect items to determine sellability
  • Price merchandise and prepare items for the sales floor
  • Stock shelves, racks, and displays to meet daily goal
  • Operate the cash register and complete purchases
  • Keep sales floor, fitting rooms, and work areas clean and organized
  • Assist with loading/unloading deliveries as needed
  • Follow safety procedures, maintain regular attendance, and perform other duties as needed.
