Temporary Seasonal Retail Associate-Must Be Available Nights and Weekends
About The Position
TJ Maxx is seeking a Temporary Seasonal Retail Associate who will be responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. The role models established customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, accurately handles customer transactions, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and maintains merchandising standards. The associate will also process and prepare merchandise, participate in store recovery, and maintain organizational and cleanliness standards for the sales floor and the entire store. They will provide and accept recognition and feedback, adhere to labor laws and policies, and support store shrink reduction goals and safety awareness. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Possesses excellent customer service skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekends
- Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
- Works effectively with peers and supervisors

- Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor
- Participating in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
- Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
- Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
- Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
