About The Position
At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, every donation and sale helps fund our Adult Rehabilitation Center program, providing hope and support to those rebuilding their lives. We are looking for energetic, dependable team members who enjoy staying active, serving customers, and working in a fast-paced environment while making a meaningful impact in the community.
Requirements
- Ability to provide friendly customer service
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
- High school diploma or currently pursuing
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience
- Experience using a point of sale system
Responsibilities
- Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
- Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
- Assist donors with donations according to center policy
- Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
- Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
- Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
- Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
- Other duties as assigned
