About The Position

This is a part-time Retail Associate position in Pembroke Pines, FL. The role involves a variety of tasks including customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities within a retail store environment. The position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronic devices.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• With assistance, push/pull rolling carts weighing up to 530 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device, and thank donors.
• Process merchandise: sort, separate, hang clothing and household items, sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
• Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions.
• Perform cleaning duties including bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters.
• Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
• Provide customer service, including assisting customers, pricing merchandise, managing fitting rooms, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and employing sales techniques.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
