About The Position

Since 2013, Article has been making it easy to create beautiful spaces with their online direct-to-consumer modern furniture. They are now expanding from digital-first to a true omni-channel experience by opening physical retail stores across the US and Canada. This role is for a Home Expert in their brand-new retail location in Bellevue, WA, specifically at Lincoln Square North. The Home Expert will be the face of Article, bringing designs to life and ensuring delightful in-store interactions. The store is 8400 square feet and will have a staff of 13, including a Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Sales Floor Leads, and Home Experts. The store operates 7 days a week, with hours from 10 am - 8 pm Monday-Saturday and 11 am - 7 pm on Sundays. Video interviews are ongoing, with final interviews in person on September 3rd & 4th. Training will be full-time for 3 weeks, from September 21st to October 9th.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Completion of a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation to the location
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Retail experience, ideally in a considered-purchase environment, where customers take time to compare and decide
• Passion for helping people and solving problems
• Ability to build strong, genuine relationships that create long-term customers
• Resilient, adaptable, and enjoy being part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the showroom and help them feel at home
• Guide customers through furniture selection and support online ordering
• Stay informed about products, tools, and policies to support customer confidence
• Keep the showroom looking beautiful and organized throughout the day
• Use internal systems to manage orders, support returns, and navigate logistics
• Collaborate with teammates and contribute to a respectful, team-first environment
• Participate in regular coaching and feedback with your Store Manager
• Flex to support peak periods on weekends and key retail dates
