Requirements

A desire to work directly with and talk to the public.
A welcoming demeanor.
19 years of age or older.
Ability to learn point of sale systems.
Ability to remember and communicate information.
Ability to follow and enforce safety rules.
A flexible schedule; ability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of retail or customer service experience

Nice To Haves

An interest in the arts.
Prior experience with point of sale systems (retail sales).
Prior work experience in a retail, museum, park, recreation facility, or other public space.
Experience using Google drive documents and spreadsheets
Ability to learn and use a variety of computer software including but not limited to; Vend POS, Dymo Label software

Responsibilities

Assist visitors and customers of Meow Wolf's gift shop while providing an excellent level of customer service.
Complete transactions via a point of sale system.
Handle cash and provide correct change from a cash register to guests as they make purchases.
Keep the gift shop clean, restocking items and organizing storage areas as needed.
Support the Gift Shop department by completing special tasks that include data entry, compiling gift shop items for giveaways, and conducting inventory counts.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the variety of merchandise items being sold at the Gift Shop.
