About The Position

The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking energetic, responsible and service-oriented applicants for seasonal employment opportunities in the Satellite Gift Shops. Job duties include cash handling, stocking, cleaning, bending, picking up merchandise, interacting with visitors, and other duties as assigned. The starting rate for this position is $15.00 per hour but may increase based on availability and experience.

Requirements

• Candidate must have basic math and computer skills.
• Candidate must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Candidate must stand for 8 or more hours
• Candidate must be comfortable working outside.
• Candidate must have a flexible work schedule, this will include weekdays, and some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• It is preferred that the candidate have some retail experience with cash registers and/or POS systems.
