About The Position
The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking energetic, independent, friendly, responsible and service-oriented applicants for seasonal supervisor positions in the Gift Shop Department. This position starts at $17.00 per hour, but may increase based on experience and availability.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Must have weekday, weekend, evening and holiday availability
- Prior retail and customer service experience, as well as experience on a cash register required
- Candidates must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
- All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Open, close and operate both Gift Shops and Rentals locations
- Run reports
- Keep stores stocked and clean
- Supervise staff
- Communicate clearly
- Train staff on all Zoo policies and procedures
- Handle customer concerns in a professional manner
