Stan's Shoes in Greenfield, WI is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll partner with the Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales performance, and deliver our signature sit-and-fit experience-ensuring every customer receives personalized service and leaves feeling confident and comfortable. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coach team members, lead by example on the sales floor, and help create a positive, high-performing store environment. What You'll Do As the Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of the store while setting the standard for sales and customer experience. You'll spend much of your time on the sales floor, delivering exceptional sit-and-fit experiences and leading by example to achieve and exceed both individual and store goals. At the same time, you'll coach and support team members in real time-helping them build confidence in their product knowledge, strengthen their sales approach, and create meaningful connections with customers. You'll also partner closely with the Store Manager to ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes supporting opening and closing procedures, overseeing POS and cash handling, maintaining strong inventory practices, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and visually appealing. You'll help coordinate scheduling to maintain proper floor coverage, step in as Manager-on-Duty when needed, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that reflects the values of Stan's Shoes. What We're Looking For 2+ years of retail or customer-facing experience Previous leadership experience (keyholder, supervisor, or similar) Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate others Sales-driven mindset with a track record (or strong desire) to meet and exceed goals Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Experience with POS systems and basic retail technology Reliable, professional, and self-motivated Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Preferred: Footwear, apparel, or specialty retail experience Experience training or developing team members Understanding of sales metrics and performance tracking Pay & Schedule Weekly base pay of $525 + commission (starting at 5%) Estimated annual earnings: $35,000–$40,000+ (based on performance; excluding bonuses) Bonus opportunities based on individual and store performance Full-Time: 40–45 hours per week Flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Pet insurance Paid vacation & sick days Paid parental leave 401(k) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Exclusive employee discount Race fee reimbursement About Stan's Shoes: Stan's Shoes is a third-generation, family-owned company with a long-standing commitment to exceptional customer service.
