About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Management Team with store operations and team leadership. The role drives daily store performance, motivates employees, and helps ensure excellent customer service. It contributes to store profitability through inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales management. The position also supports operational procedures and may occasionally involve lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Sales management experience, including delivering results and meeting targets.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and operational tasks.
• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred, but not required.
• Sales skills to drive revenue growth and meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve sales goals, deliver outstanding customer service, and foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers' standards for style and innovation.
• Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor.
• Oversee store systems, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and other operational processes.
• Support peak store operations, including occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Implement performance strategies, set expectations, and exceed sales goals to drive revenue growth.
• Address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns.
• Help create a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Act with confidentiality and urgency.
