About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the management team in store operations and team leadership. This role helps drive daily store performance, lead employees, deliver customer service, manage inventory, maintain visual merchandising, and execute sales initiatives that contribute to store profitability. The position also oversees store systems and operational processes, including scheduling and opening and closing procedures. The listed pay rate is $19.57.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred, but not required.
• Sales skills to drive revenue growth and meet targets.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and operational tasks.
• Ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills to foster collaboration and success.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to meet sales goals, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure product displays and store layouts meet Skechers’ brand standards.
• Monitor stock levels, manage restocking, and organize the sales floor.
• Oversee store systems, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and other operational processes.
• Support peak store operations by occasionally lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Implement sales performance strategies, set expectations, and work to exceed sales goals.
• Address operational challenges and resolve customer concerns.
