About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team and deliver an excellent customer experience. The role communicates Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge and an optimistic approach, supports sales standards, and leads day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is absent. The position also supports inventory management, merchandising, store maintenance, and team development.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best possible experience.
Take ownership of the sales floor and team, keeping customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with informed feedback on merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing products, new arrivals, and replenishment, and inviting customers to events.
Stay informed about new and popular products and share that knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge in fashion and activewear to serve as an expert for customers.
Lead team projects while maintaining a focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with shipments and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community engagement, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow protocol and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Store Manager’s guidance, to meet expectations for effort, punctuality, and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restock and submit a report to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with processing weekly shipments.
Keep store supplies stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure restocking and destocking are completed daily.
Help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage Aloha displays, refreshing and restocking them weekly.
Manage mannequin refreshes and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
