About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager works in a specialty chocolate retail store offering packaged and customized gifts, in-store-made fudge, caramel apples, and hot fudge sundaes. The role is responsible for day-to-day store operations and the overall care of staff, and reports directly to the Training Manager and Team Leader of Retail Shops. The position involves leading employees, supporting sales and profitability, managing inventory and expenses, maintaining merchandising standards, and overseeing regular production of confection items in the store’s candy kitchen. It also includes customer service, merchandise handling, and back-office work using a PC. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Requirements

Three years of prior retail management experience.
Customer service and selling experience.
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience using an email service.
Ability to frequently lift up to 5 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to constantly stand, bend, reach, and work with hands.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
