About The Position

POP MART is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support its expansion in the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing store opening and closing operations, ensuring all store processes run smoothly, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of store procedures, and the ability to identify areas for improvement and communicate challenges to the Store Manager. This position reports directly to the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to lift large boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver a great customer experience.
  • More than 2 years of store leadership experience in retail.
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and implement new standardization directives.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift).
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters).

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Brand Associates, setting expectations, goals, and fostering talent development.
  • Act as the manager on duty, focusing on achieving results while ensuring a positive customer and employee experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Uphold high store standards that reflect the company's brand image, values, and culture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on POP MART's core business, including character information, products, and company history.
  • Support company marketing events such as in-store events, Pop-up events, conventions, and new store openings.
  • Assist with RoboShop business as needed, including following up with in-store RoboShop employees and business partners.
  • Improve store sales performance and meet key performance indicators such as store conversion, units per transaction, dollars per transaction, and store sales trends.
  • Drive sales of key company products like Blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories.
  • Execute Visual Merchandising and Marketing directives, including installations of decals, props, merchandising planograms, and marketing fixtures.
  • Remerchandise the sales floor based on product sell-through or slow-moving product, making strategic decisions aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory ASM to determine Back of House (BOH) and warehouse inventory levels.
  • Be responsible for back of house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring of goods, and weekly/quarterly inventory auditing.
