About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, professional Retail Armed Security Officer to support safety and security operations at retail store. The ideal candidate is disciplined, attentive, and committed to providing world-class customer service. This role involves performing duties that include foot patrol, greeting customers, responding effectively to emergency situations, and preventing criminal activity by acting as a visual deterrent. Officers must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while strictly adhering to company protocols regarding shoplifting and physical apprehensions.

Requirements

• Possess valid Florida Class D and G security licenses
• Possess valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to pass background screening and drug test
• Ability to pass a mental health assessment
• Reliable transportation
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Good judgment and situational awareness
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must be able to successfully complete all training required for the position

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized people to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Aid customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
