About The Position

The Retail Apparel Merchandiser at Edwin Watts Golf is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Maintain a general awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise, promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements so as to better serve our customers, while also maintaining the flexibility to work in different departments as needed. Maintain the flow of product to the sales floor from the store receiving areas and assists with markdown and clearance management for areas per company guidelines. Assist with the execution of all visual merchandising standards, including signage and displays. Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisitioning merchandise from stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed. Maintain database and file shipping/receiving records for the department. Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to spend work time standing or moving about the departments within the store.
Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
Ability to tag, hang, and sensor merchandise.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience working in a retail/apparel environment or golf industry is preferred, but not required
Strong knowledge of apparel and golf are both a plus, but not required
