About The Position

This role is within the Retail Credit team at Volvo Financial Services (VFS), a part of the Volvo Group. VFS USA supports Volvo Group franchise dealers across the United States. The Retail Credit department is a dynamic, fast-paced, and critical team involved in contract modification, lease line audits, and assisting in credit file reviews. The position involves direct customer interaction, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and sales teams, and supporting the dealer network. The role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate processing of contract modifications, refinancing, and assignments/assumptions, as well as assisting the Credit Team with credit submittal reviews and financial statement spreading. The position also involves participating in post-mortem processes to provide insights for improvement and adhering to The Volvo Way, Code of Conduct, and policy requirements. Continuous learning and industry knowledge gain are encouraged.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, or another related field.
  • Experience in direct customer interaction.
  • Knowledge of loan or lease transactions is a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations and tasks.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and be self-paced and guided.
  • Willingness to raise questions and look for ways to drive process change.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Intermediate level or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring contract modifications, refinancing, and assignment and assumptions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Assisting the Credit Team with credit submittal review, financial statement spreading, and other ad-hoc credit activities as needed.
  • Participating in post-mortem processes to provide insights into transactions for continuity and improvement.
  • Adhering to The Volvo Way, Code of Conduct, and defined policy requirements.
  • Continuously gaining industry knowledge, learning, and supporting process changes and improvements in the Retail Credit department.
