About The Position

The Bluebird Group is a manufacturer’s representative and consulting firm serving as an invaluable partner to some of the most innovative brands and multinational retailers. We are seeking a Retail Account Manager to work on our Costco team.
As a Retail Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving successful business partnerships between Costco and our vendor partners through forecasting, analytics, inventory flow optimization, and effective communication.

Requirements

• Ability to analyze data, identify issues and make recommendations
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with little supervision
• Effective organization skills and the ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of Costco’s processes and systems
• Functional knowledge of MS Excel (sorting/grouping data, pivot tables, v lookups, etc)
• This position may require some travel
• Four year college degree preferred
• Experience working with Costco on the retail or vendor side

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with both our vendors’ operations teams and Costco’s buying teams
• Demand Planning/Forecasting – facilitate and analyze forecasts to optimize the business for both the vendor and Costco
• Monitor in-stock needs and provide a proactive strategy to solve the stock problem
• Analyze vendor performance metrics and identify issues and root-causes, ultimately solving vendor performance issues or problems
• Monitor customer purchase orders
• Setup and Maintain new items within Costco
• Provide vendors with at least weekly sell-through analytics and other information to help optimize the business
• Maintain accurate records regarding program agreements, pricing, product information, order status, planning issues and vendor set-ups
• Ensure that the internal accounting system is up-to-date with accurate shipping and invoicing information for cash flow purposes
• Assist in new vendor setup for all new brands launching at Costco
• Assist in Smarter Sorting registration for brands
• Assist in Syndigo content
