About The Position

The Legal, Contracts and Compliance organization is seeking a skilled transactions lawyer to serve as Associate Director and Counsel, Restructuring Transactions. This role involves working with partners across the enterprise, applying business savvy, legal acumen, and transactional skills to support complex transactions and initiatives led by RTX's tax, treasury, and corporate governance organizations. This is a hybrid role based in Farmington, Connecticut.

Requirements

  • Law degree (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • 5-7 years of experience practicing as an attorney supporting complex business transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Experience analyzing, drafting and advising on a wide range of legal, commercial and / or operational issues and considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for restructuring transactions and corporate governance initiatives undertaken by RTX.
  • Review, draft and advise on a range of restructuring transactions.
  • Partner with business leaders in our tax, treasury and controllers functions and support cross-functional / cross-discipline teams in the structuring and implementation of transactions.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to and robust awareness of a range of specialized matters of critical importance to RTX, including global trade, ethics and compliance, and data privacy law in executing restructuring transactions.
  • Provide ongoing advice and counsel in connection with restructuring transactions and the governance of RTX subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate and / or provide regulatory compliance training and guidance to business teams.
  • Lead outside counsel engagements on a range of transactional and regulatory matters, when and as needed.
  • Support other corporate governance initiatives as needed.
  • Exercise highest ethical standards and champion commitment to organizational integrity.
