Retail Sales Associate/Thrift Store
About The Position
Habitat Bucks is looking for a full-time ReStore Specialist at our Quakertown location. In this role, you'll support our mission by assisting customers, selling items, unloading donations, managing warehouse tasks, organizing merchandise, and cashiering. This position is ideal for someone comfortable working in a busy, physical environment and who enjoys providing excellent customer service. Join us and make a difference in Bucks County! Requirements
- Genuine passion for customer service
- Warm and supportive demeanor
- Be prepared for physical tasks, such as lifting furniture and large items throughout the store
- Use tools to help manage and organize inventory efficiently
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses, and color determination vision
- Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding up to 6 feet high
- Ability to grasp, reach, stoop, speak, listen and distinguish differences in odors
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 lbs
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers
- Provide attentive but speedy service for sales pick-ups
- Acknowledge donors' generosity during a donation drop-off
- Support team members
- Merchandise the sales floor
- Operate cash register
