About The Position

The ReStore Associate represents the Habitat brand through courteous interactions with potential donors and customers to support our mission and support ReStore operations.

Requirements

No experience is necessary.
High School Diploma or GED
Must be professional in appearance and a good ambassador of the Habitat brand.
Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work well and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to establish, foster, and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public.
Ability to work weekends when needed.
Able to arrive at work promptly and dress neatly in a Habitat for Humanity shirt.
Able to do heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
Team Player able to help in the warehouse and sales floor as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Putting incoming donations from receiving docks in the proper location.
Helping to unload donation trucks in the warehouse as instructed by ReStore Manager.
Moving priced items to the showroom floor.
Assist customers through the purchase process.
Adhering to the ReStore’s recycling efforts.
Assisting customers and donors in loading and unloading merchandise.
Cashier duties: Welcoming customers
Answering the front desk phone
Assist customers through the purchase process
Provide general assistance to customers, answering questions and directing them to the correct area.
Ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.
Maintain a clean and accessible front desk area
All other duties as assigned.
