The Restorative Nurse is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring restorative nursing programs designed to maintain and improve residents’ functional abilities, independence, mobility, and quality of life. The Restorative Nurse is an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) collaborating with nursing staff, therapy services, providers, residents, and families to develop individualized restorative approaches based on each resident’s needs, goals, and care plan. The Restorative Nurse provides clinical oversight of restorative nursing activities, ensures interventions are carried out consistently and appropriately, monitors residents’ progress and changes in condition, and communicates recommendations to the interdisciplinary team. This position also provides education and guidance to nursing staff regarding restorative techniques, promotes resident-centered care, and ensures accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulatory and facility standards.
