About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full Time Days Restorative Nurse Tech to work at The Lighthouse located at 17600 Arbor Street, Omaha, NE 68130. The Lighthouse has 54 skilled nursing and long-term care suites. This position provides nursing assistant restorative care to patients. Provides services which encompass the spiritual, physiological, social and psychological aspects of care of the sick, prevention of disease or conservation of health. Supports and lives out Immanuel’s Mission and CHRIST Promises.

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Aide/Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Active member in good standing on the applicable state registry for CNA.
  • Minimum of three (3) year experience as a Certified Nurse Aide.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Basic Life Support and First Aid is preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days of hire date required.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to resident calls, anticipates resident needs, and assures resident safety and comfort through regular rounds, environmental maintenance and other safety measures.
  • Records restorative and other cares provided as scheduled/needed into the EMR. Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior and unusual incidents/problems.
  • Provides feeding assistance as directed.
  • Assures resident privacy while providing personal and routine care.
  • Performs clinical procedures within scope of policies, procedures and licensure requirements.
  • Participates in resident care meetings and contributes to care planning.
  • Assists in the admission, discharge, and transfer process as directed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform in an accurate and precise manner in crisis and emergency situations.
  • Follows established procedures for resident supplies and demonstrates a cost-effective awareness by careful, efficient and non-wasteful use of supplies and linens.
  • Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs.
  • Complies with all internal/external regulations, policies and procedures. Understanding and practice of quality standards and HIPAA regulations. Supports continuous improvement.
  • Makes entries in the EMR consistent with and limited to the scope of job duties and applicable licensure.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in meetings, training and continuing education programs.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and any required certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
