About The Position
This role involves providing restorative care to residents at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center. Key responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, ensuring resident comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean environment. The position requires flexibility and a compassionate approach to care.
Requirements
- State tested STNA
- Recent nurse aide training completion certificate
- Flexibility to cover as needed, including some weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- 6 months experience in long term care preferred.
- Previous experience working in direct care services preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs.
- Measure and record height and weight, intake, and output.
- Care for the residents’ environment.
- Assist with bathing, grooming and toileting.
- Assist with eating and hydration.
- Observe residents’ skin when administering care and reports changes to licensed nurse; provide skin care as needed.
- Meet residents’ mental health and social service needs.
- Change linens on residents’ bed.
- Assist in passing out fresh ice water to residents.
- Pass food trays to individual residents in accordance with the diet card on the tray.
