Restorative CNA
About The Position
The Restorative CNA supports short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents at The Shores, a United Methodist Communities (UMC) community in Ocean City, New Jersey. The role focuses on restorative care that helps residents build strength, move safely, and maintain independence. The schedule is part-time, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotation. The hourly rate is $23.00 to $25.55, based on experience. Candidates must hold an active New Jersey CNA certification in good standing on the NJ Nurse Aide Registry, have a high school diploma or GED, and have at least one year of CNA experience in long-term care or rehabilitation. Restorative or rehabilitation program experience is preferred. Employment offers are contingent on passing a drug test and background check. A flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions available.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Lead residents through range-of-motion, walking, and positioning exercises outlined in their restorative care plans.
- Assist with dressing, bathing, and other daily care while encouraging residents to do as much as possible independently.
- Assist with transfers, meals, and adaptive equipment.
- Record each resident’s progress.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions.
- Work with nurses and the care team to support each resident’s goals.
