About The Position

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Restorative Aide in our skilled nursing neighborhood. Under the supervision of the restorative nurse, the restorative aide provides direct restorative care, performs restorative nursing procedures that maximize the resident’s existing abilities, emphasizes independence instead of dependence, prevents loss of existing functional capacity, and follows established policies and procedures while providing care and respecting confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Current State certification for Nursing Assistant (GNA)
  • Minimum of three months experience within the geriatric healthcare field
  • Knowledgeable of restorative care procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct restorative care.
  • Performs restorative nursing procedures that maximize the resident’s existing abilities.
  • Emphasizes independence instead of dependence.
  • Prevents loss of existing functional capacity.
  • Follows established policies and procedures while providing care.
  • Respects confidentiality at all times.
