About The Position
Terrace Glen Village is seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to join their team. This position provides direct care to nursing home residents, in accordance with restorative nursing policies and procedures. The role may involve assisting with resident care while performing restorative nursing tasks. Requirements
- Must hold an active Certified Nurse Aide license and be in acceptable standing with the Nurse Aide Registry.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents doing progressive range of motion exercises and progressive mobility, to include but not be limited to bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
- Assist residents in progressive eating, during breakfast and lunch.
- Assist residents in progressive bathing and dressing.
- Assist and teach residents in progressive grooming.
- Take and record vital signs of residents according to facility schedule and policies, and during restorative activities.
- Document and/or report information regarding the residents’ progress and medical condition to charge nurses and supervisor.
- Participate on committees as needed.
- Work closely with the physical therapy department.
- Document all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record.
- Assure personal and staff compliance to all state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
- Assure personal and staff compliance to residents’ rights.
- Provide care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.
