We are seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to join our team! This position provides direct care to nursing home residents, in accordance with restorative nursing policies and procedures. May help with resident care while performing restorative nursing tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in rehabilitation or therapy.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of restorative therapy principles and techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Empathy and patience in working with individuals recovering from illness or injury.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily exercises and physical activities as prescribed by therapists.
- Support patients in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) to increase their independence.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans.
- Help transport and transfer patients as needed to ensure they participate in therapeutic activities.
