About The Position

The Allay Group, LLC is seeking a Restoration Project Manager to join their reconstruction team. This role is for someone who can manage construction projects, understanding budgets, schedules, subcontractors, scopes, customers, and profitability. The company emphasizes a different model for Project Managers, providing dedicated support staff such as a Senior Estimator and a Material Procurement Manager, allowing PMs to focus on running profitable projects and delivering an excellent finished product. The ideal candidate will manage multiple reconstruction projects from handoff through final completion, ensuring they are on time, on scope, and at or above targeted margins. This role requires strong organizational skills, urgency, financial acumen, and excellent communication.

Requirements

  • Understand how buildings go together, how trades sequence, how long work should take, what it should cost, and what needs to happen next.
  • Demonstrate urgency and follow-up skills.
  • Understand job budgets, subcontractor costs, purchase costs, change orders, gross margin, and job profitability.
  • Understand approved scopes before construction begins and identify discrepancies early.
  • Understand construction methods, trade sequencing, quality workmanship, and realistic production timelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, homeowners, subcontractors, material orders, and deadlines while keeping documentation and communication current.
  • Ability to communicate early, clearly, professionally, and consistently.
  • Ability to hold people accountable to standards for schedule, workmanship, communication, cleanliness, and professionalism.
  • Ability to contribute to a team and not operate in a silo.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Clean driving record required.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance restoration experience.
  • Strong construction background.
  • Xactimate, CoreLogic/Symbility, insurance estimating, or strong construction estimating experience.
  • Local market knowledge in the Treasure Valley construction market.
  • Existing relationships with quality local subcontractors and trades.
  • Experience building a reliable subcontractor network.
  • Experience with Xactimate, CoreLogic/Symbility, insurance repair estimating, construction estimating, scope development, and reading detailed carrier-approved estimates.
  • Strong insurance restoration estimator who also knows how to run production.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn insurance estimating if coming from a construction PM background without prior insurance estimating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple reconstruction projects from handoff through final completion.
  • Run projects on time, on scope, and at or above targeted margins.
  • Review approved scopes and job budgets before production begins.
  • Understand project profitability.
  • Build realistic schedules and continuously drive projects forward.
  • Read and execute work according to approved Xactimate/CoreLogic scopes.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, selections, and project milestones.
  • Work closely with the Material Procurement Manager to keep finish materials aligned with production.
  • Identify delays, scope gaps, cost issues, and production problems.
  • Maintain accurate and timely job notes, photos, documentation, and status updates.
  • Communicate proactively with homeowners, subcontractors, carrier partners, and internal team members.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
  • Manage change orders and scope discrepancies.
  • Drive punch lists and final completion.
  • Maintain and develop a strong subcontractor network.
  • Help identify and onboard qualified local trades.
  • Assist with repair estimating when additional estimating capacity is needed.
  • Drive projects through final documentation, customer sign-off, and closeout.
  • Keep projects moving.
