About The Position

This role is responsible for converting leads into sales, developing the scope of work, and managing projects, including directly supervising staff on job sites. Due to the nature of restoration work, the individual must be available to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner, including being available anytime to assist the Restoration Department's response to emergencies. The position requires ensuring any necessary certifications are obtained and current, and following established control systems by completing all paperwork and computer entries in a timely manner and to department standards. Marketing to appropriate sources of business as directed by the Restoration Manager (RM) or General Manager (GM) is also a key function. The role involves determining the feasibility of work based on insurance coverage and the nature of damage, managing assigned projects, and performing necessary physical production activities. This includes inspecting job sites to establish the initial scope of work, confirming with the insured and adjuster, and arranging access to the job. The Restoration Project Manager will determine the need for subcontractors, schedule directly with the customer, and recruit and qualify subcontractors. They will provide a complete written scope of work, along with supporting pictures or diagrams, to the RM/GM, as well as written changes in work scope. The role also includes taking job measurements and notes for invoicing, securing signed work authorization before commencing work, and fielding customer questions and concerns. Developing a Work In Progress (WIP) report for Active Projects and invoicing all types of projects, including fire, water, mold, and asbestos, are also responsibilities. The employee must meet company standards for attendance and punctuality and attend training meetings as required. Other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (i.e. discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.).
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to recognize and rectify problems.
  • Technical skills in insurance repair and restoration required.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' work experience in restoration services.
  • Expert knowledge of restoration practices and equipment.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
  • Water damage restoration: 1 year (Required)
  • Fire restoration: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities
