About The Position

We’re launching a new restoration company in Rochester backed by a national brand - and we’re looking for a high-level, hands-on operator to help build and lead field operations from day one. You’ll work directly with the owner and help build the company from the ground up - running jobs, leading crews as the company grows, and ensuring work is done right from day one. This is a hands-on role - you will be in the field daily running jobs. You’ll join before launch to help build and run field operations, equipment setup, and execution from day one.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in water restoration/mitigation
• Experience running jobs independently from start to finish
• Strong understanding of drying strategies, documentation, and job quality
• Must be comfortable with physical work, long days, and being fully hands-on in the field every day
• Comfortable working long/irregular hours when jobs demand it
• Proven ability and desire to lead small crews and manage field execution
• High accountability mindset - takes responsibility and gets results

Nice To Haves

• IICRC WRT / ASD / AMRT / FSRT
• NY State Mold License
• Xactimate and estimating experience
• Experience with CRM/job management systems
• Strong comfort with mobile documentation and technology

Responsibilities

• Run water, mold, and fire/smoke restoration jobs
• Lead crews (as company grows) and own field execution
• Set drying strategies and ensure job quality
• Handle documentation, photos, and job tracking
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters and maintain professional communication
• Be hands-on in the field daily
