About The Position

This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and customer-focused service while fostering growth and teamwork. Flexibility is key, as our emergency response services require availability for "on-call" needs, including weekends. The Restoration Crew Chief will manage and work alongside teams of 1-4, handling water, and mold (fire when it arises) restoration projects. When restoration jobs are unavailable, they will oversee floor cleaning, air duct cleaning, and tile and grout cleaning tasks. The role also involves training, mentoring, and supporting technicians, fostering a team-oriented culture, assisting with recruiting and hiring, ensuring job documentation, inventory management, and vehicle maintenance are up to standard, monitoring and improving team morale and performance, acting as the primary point of contact for customers, and supporting company goals for sales, profitability, and market leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years leading a team of 1-3 members.
  • Strong track record of hands-on work in water, fire, and mold restoration.
  • Leadership skills with a "practice what you preach" mentality.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical proficiency for using modern restoration tools, i.e. Capabuild, Delightree, WorkIz
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to operate vans, trucks, and box trucks.
  • Flexible to work weekends and respond to emergency calls as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and work alongside teams of 1-4, handling water, and mold (fire when it arises) restoration projects.
  • Oversee floor cleaning, air duct cleaning, and tile and grout cleaning tasks when restoration jobs are unavailable.
  • Be available 24/7 for emergency calls, delivering prompt and efficient services to customers in need.
  • Train, mentor, and support technicians.
  • Foster a team-oriented culture aligned with our company vision and values.
  • Assist senior management in recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.
  • Ensure job documentation, inventory management, and vehicle maintenance are up to standard.
  • Start each day with an 8:00 AM team huddle at shop in Bernardsville, NJ.
  • Monitor and improve team morale and performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support company goals for sales, profitability, and market leadership by consistently delivering exceptional results.
