Restaurant Utility Worker/ Dishwasher - PART TIME and every other weekend 6:30am- 2:30pm some weekdays 3:30pm- 7:30pm.
About The Position
Distinctive Living is seeking a part-time Restaurant Utility Worker for its Mira Vie, Clifton location. The Restaurant Utility Worker, under the direction of the Restaurant and Hospitality Manager or Director, is responsible for delivering quality service during meal times, adhering to special diet requirements, and communicating effectively with management. This role involves assisting with table setting, bussing, dishwashing, supporting cooks, and completing cleaning tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have one year of experience in food service or other customer service-related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to communicate verbally in person and over the phone.
- Strong personnel and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Supports the development of a positive customer service culture in the dining room under the direction of the Restaurant and Hospitality Manager or Director, Restaurant and Hospitality.
- Offers evaluation on the quality of service and develops systems to maximize the efficiency of meal delivery while maintaining a pleasant dining experience.
- Takes beverage and food orders, delivers food, clears, cleans, sanitizes, and resets tables.
- Makes every expected effort to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Resolves dining challenges with a customer before the conclusion of the meal service.
- Maintains a clean dining room. This includes all equipment, walls, tabletops and bases, and chairs.
- Linens are changed as needed.
- Tabletop condiments and salt and pepper shakers are kept clean.
- Washes and sanitizes dishware as required.
- Ensures they and any employees working with them work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are managed.
- Compliant with Safety Committee Standards.
- Fosters teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
