About The Position

Smokey Mo’s has all your Texas BBQ favorites--from the tenderest brisket and ribs, to mouth-watering turkey, to our signature jalapeño sausage that has just a little kick. On top of that, we’ve got our homestyle sides, including award-winning beans, which are nothing short of crave-able. Our mission is to serve great-tasting BBQ in a friendly way that keeps ‘em coming back. We are looking for hard-working, polite, friendly individuals to add to our Team. We take great pride in the top-notch BBQ we serve and our warm, welcoming atmosphere. This role requires teamwork, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fun, energetic, and sometimes, insanely busy environment. Requirements

Food Handler's permit and TABC certification.
Attend shifts according to schedule and in proper uniform.
Stand for 8 hours.
Reach, bend, squat, stoop, shake, carry, push and lift items throughout the shift.
Follow instructions and perform duties accurately and efficiently.
Have effective hearing for accurate communication.

Responsibilities

Interact with Guests in order to create a positive experience for them with warm, southern hospitality.
Take Guest orders accurately.
Properly follow cash handling procedures.
Prepare Sides and Condiments by following Smokey Mo’s recipes accurately, efficiently and with a minimum of waste.
Maintain proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain proper portion controls.
Keep your station and the restaurant clean, performing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
Help other positions and areas depending on the needs for that day.
Help each other as part of the team to make Smokey Mo’s a success.
