About The Position

Tacoma Country & Golf Club (TCGC) operates a banquet kitchen and a full service, member-only restaurant. Throughout the property there are many banquet rooms and facilities used for events. We offer a fun, energetic and welcoming culture here at the Club which helps create and maintain relationships with our members and their guests. The food quality here at TCGC is one of our focal points and the membership is quick to comment on their love of the restaurant and level of service we extend to them! Our Executive Chef has been with the Club for 16+ years, loves to fish, and is active in changing the weekly specials and menus to reflect the seasons. Banquet Support Position Summary Banquet Support Team Members support the successful execution of events such as weddings, conferences, meetings, and social gatherings. These team members are responsible for setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a high level of member & guest satisfaction throughout the event. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Restaurant Support Position Summary This position supports the front-of-house team by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, ensuring tables are cleared, reset, and ready for guests in a timely manner. Support Team Members assist servers by refilling water, delivering bread or condiments, and responding to guest needs to help ensure smooth service flow. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a positive dining experience for all members & guests.

  • WA State Food Handlers Permit (Or obtained within 1 week of employment)
  • MAST card (or obtained within 1 week of employment)
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Employment contingent on clearing a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Banquet/Support Staff service experience a plus, BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • No restaurant experience required!
  • Knowledge of banquet etiquette preferred but not required
  • Wine knowledge is a plus
  • Private club experience a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Performs related banquet (dining room) set-up tasks
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating
  • Takes beverage order and serves food in specified station
  • Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal
  • Clears soiled dishes as needed
  • Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and dining room
  • Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints as soon as they occur
  • Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
  • Place tableware and condiments on table
  • Serve water and bread upon arrival, refill water for the duration of members stay
  • Remove dirty dishes, utensils, glassware and replenish as necessary
  • Clean and reset tables after guests departure
