This position is located with Lake Toxaway at our front door and the North Carolina mountains at our back door. It serves as a gathering place and restaurant for our guests. Under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor will assist front-of-house staff in preparing for service, ensure the restaurant is clean, and verify that the kitchen has sufficient inventory for high-quality orders. During service, the supervisor will monitor operations to ensure a positive customer experience, address customer inquiries, assist with expediting orders, and fill in as needed.

Requirements

  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to stand throughout shift
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to navigate steps/stairs on a regular basis

Responsibilities

  • Assisting front of house staff in preparing for service
  • Making sure the restaurant is clean
  • Ensuring the kitchen has enough inventory to maintain high-quality orders
  • Monitoring operations to ensure customers have a positive experience
  • Answering customer questions
  • Helping expedite orders
  • Filling in wherever is needed
  • Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
  • Training staff to follow restaurant procedures
  • Maintaining safety and food quality standards
  • Keeping customers happy and handling complaints
  • Keeping track of employees’ hours
  • Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed
  • Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels
