About The Position

Nestled above the Hudson River, The Abbey Inn & Spa is a boutique luxury destination committed to delivering exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences. The Restaurant Supervisor plays a key role in supporting service excellence and operational success across the property's dining venues. The Restaurant Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the restaurant and related dining services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient service delivery, staff supervision, and adherence to company standards. This position provides hands-on leadership, supports employee development, and works closely with culinary and management teams to maintain operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of restaurant, hotel, or food & beverage supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations and guest service standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience training and motivating team members.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising daily restaurant operations including breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, and special events as assigned.
  • Ensuring service standards are consistently executed across all dining outlets.
  • Assisting with banquet and event execution to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintaining a visible presence on the floor and supporting team members during service.
  • Addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitoring guest feedback and communicating opportunities for improvement.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring front-of-house associates.
  • Assisting with scheduling, shift assignments, and labor management.
  • Supporting onboarding and performance management activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Collaborating with culinary and management teams on menu rollouts, promotions, and special events.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout restaurant areas.
