A LITTLE ABOUT US ​Situated just one mile from Healdsburg town square, nestled within the acres of lush, layered grounds, The Madrona, features 22 charming guest rooms, suites and a lively Michelin star restaurant set across six main buildings. From breakfast, lunch, and dinner to exceptionally curated private events, pop-up dinners, and local gatherings utilizing all nine acres of our beautiful property. Our Chef's garden, fruit and olive orchards, and vineyard provide a truly unique farm to table experience for our guests and staff alike. Requirements

  • Ability to be well organized, clear thinking, analyze and resolve problems while exercising good judgment.
  • Able to work closely and communicate with outside vendors and BOH, at a constant high pace doing a variety of "time restraint" tasks.
  • Perform job functions with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Provide legible communication.
  • Compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of O.S. system.
  • Knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the Restaurant.
  • Knowledge of particular characteristics and description of every wine/ champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
  • Knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of, and strictly abide by, state liquor regulations (particularly those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons, and drunk driving).
  • Knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of, and comply with, all company and departmental service standards and policies.
  • Prior experience required.
  • Flexible schedule with weekend, night and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

  • Courteously greet, escort, and thank upon departure to all guests.
  • Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guests' tables according to restaurant service standards and legal specifications, courteously and efficiently.
  • Collect and process payments in compliance with proper cash handling procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain security of cash till.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of guest information.
  • Provide guests with excellent experience to ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
  • Support management with maintaining a positive, cohesive team.
