About The Position

At Shake Shack, the Restaurant Shift Manager helps lead restaurant operations in a fun and inclusive environment focused on hospitality, quality, and doing the right thing. The role manages service during a shift, directs team members, and supports a safe, clean, high-quality, and efficient guest experience. The Shift Manager also helps build and lead a high-performing hourly team and may support operational functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory. The role participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.

Requirements

At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage the flow of service and direct team members’ work during a shift to maintain safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
Help build and lead a high-performing team of hourly Team Members.
May assist with operational support functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory.
Participate in applicant interviews and assist with employee relations.
