About The Position

The Restaurant Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized work station, adhering to all safety and company policies, and assisting other team members as needed. The server must be knowledgeable about menu items, specials, and promotions, and must comply with all liquor regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Ability to check station for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  • Ability to record and repeat orders accurately.
  • Ability to input orders into a Point of Sale system.
  • Ability to retrieve orders from the kitchen and confirm accuracy.
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
  • Ability to replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees.
  • Ability to assist with clearing and resetting tables.
  • Ability to perform side work, including restocking.
  • Ability to perform general cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to present checks promptly.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Knowledge of department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to utilize protective equipment.
  • Ability to report unsafe conditions, accidents, and incidents.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, seating them and presenting menus.
  • Explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
  • Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  • Record guest orders accurately, repeating them for confirmation.
  • Input orders into the Point of Sale system.
  • Retrieve orders from the kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests with appropriate condiments.
  • Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
  • Replenish beverages and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
  • Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables.
  • Perform assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
  • Present checks to guests promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
  • Utilize protective equipment.
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to supervisor/manager.
  • Provide for a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
