About The Position

Under the general guidance of the F&B Manager, the Server assists in ensuring friendly, efficient, and effective service of food and beverages to all guests in a timely fashion in accordance with standards and individual guest requirements, at all times respecting the company’s Core Values. This role requires upholding the restaurant's standards for service quality, appearance, and guest experience, and may involve performing various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
  • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Specific department uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you by your supervisor.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years’ experience as a Server in a contemporary dining restaurant preferred
  • Additional language ability preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
  • Present menus and inform guests about daily specials, assisting them in making informed dining choices.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Clear and clean tables after guests depart, preparing them for the next seating.
  • Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit transactions securely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including restocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
  • Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guest inquiries effectively.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area.
  • Uphold the restaurant's standards for service quality, appearance, and guest experience.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Provide lateral service as needed in the hospitality industry.
  • Perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
