About The Position

The DoubleTree by Hilton- Nashville Downtown is seeking a motivated individual to join their Food & Beverage – Outlets TEAM as a Restaurant Server. In this role, you will be responsible for the service of food and/or beverage, including order taking and delivery, in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. Requirements

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service-ware and menu items.
Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, and communicate with guests.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
Prior hospitality experience preferred.
Additional language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions.
Record and repeat guest orders to ensure accuracy.
Input orders into the Point-of-Sale computer.
Retrieve, confirm accuracy, and deliver food and beverage orders to guests, including appropriate condiments.
Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations.
Replenish beverages and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
Present checks to guests promptly.
Assist with clearing and resetting tables.
Perform assigned side-work, including replenishing condiments and restocking side-stands.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
