About The Position

This role is for a Restaurant Server at a hotel that offers a resort-style experience with amenities like complimentary shuttle to SeaWorld, multiple on-site dining options, pet-friendly rooms, a fitness center, and outdoor games. The hotel is conveniently located near SeaWorld San Antonio, the River Walk, and Lackland Air Force Base. The property features three heated outdoor pools, a whirlpool, cornhole, and giant table games. The environment is engaging for hospitality professionals focused on creating exceptional guest experiences and leisure operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a server in a hotel or upscale restaurant is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or coursework is a plus.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays or items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests as soon as possible when they arrive at the restaurant.
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations when appropriate.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, checking in with guests to make sure they're happy.
  • Process payments accurately and promptly using the hotel’s point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and the dining area.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up tables, refilling condiments, and polishing glassware or silverware.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and Hilton brand standards.
