About The Position
The Hotel Saint Louis, an Autograph Collection Hotel, is seeking AM/PM and Bartender Servers to join their team in downtown Saint Louis. This role focuses heavily on guest services, ensuring a positive dining experience, and also includes administrative tasks related to maintaining the restaurant. Essential duties include greeting guests warmly, taking food and drink orders, accommodating special requests, and remaining attentive throughout their meal. Servers are responsible for processing payments accurately and maintaining a friendly demeanor. They will also respond to customer inquiries and provide knowledgeable information. Administrative tasks involve restocking, cleaning, memorizing menu details, maintaining cleanliness standards, managing guest checks, and attending pre-meal meetings. A clean and professional appearance is expected at all times.

Responsibilities

- Receives proper payment from guests and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
- Responds to customer inquiries and comments in person and on the telephone
- Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
- Memorizes menu items, recipes, and daily specials
- Maintains cleanliness standards in the restaurant, wait station, and kitchen service area
- Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures
- Attends all pre-meal and departmental meetings
- Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times
